Lenten Fish Fry Dinners - Information and Pre-pay Link

This year’s Lenten Fish Fry Dinners occur each Friday from March 7 through April 11 in the Cafeteria from 5 – 7 pm. All dinners will be picked up inside the cafeteria and eaten on site or packaged to go. For those customers who do not want fried fish, we will be offering broiled Pollock on a limited basis. For children only, we will offer a slice of cheese pizza if they don’t want fish. We will be offering bottled water, coffee and Milo’s iced tea and lemonade free with the purchase of dinner. Soda, beer, and wine will be available with a donation.
We are aware prices have increased for most everything. After careful consideration, we’ve decided to keep our prices the same as last year because we know our God is a God of love and mercy and we need to imitate God in all we do. Spread the word!
As we did last year, we will display a sign that says: “When you hold a banquet (dinner), invite the poor.” (Luke 14:13). If you cannot pay, dinner is on the Knights. If you can pay more, donate to help buy dinner for someone who cannot pay.
You can prepay for your dinners by clicking on this Prepay link. Or you can pay at each dinner using cash, check, or credit card. The link will be active for the next dinner on Monday - 11 am Friday.

Knight of the Month for February: Wayne Fricker
About a year ago, Wayne became an active Knight after many years of inactivity. He started attending Council meetings and participating with many Knight’s events such as parish breakfasts, Teen Life meals, the Sharing Center, and Fish Fry Dinners. He began volunteering for leadership positions, like taking over the Council’s Card Ministry, where he sends out cards to Knights and their family members. He even filled-in for one of our Inside Guards at a recent Council meeting and recently attended Jim Coppens’ Veteran’s Communion Mass! If that wasn’t enough, he joined the Men’s club and became Secretary, preparing minutes, and additionally provides meals for the Men’s Club meetings. Wayne shines as a Worthy Brother Knight! If you would like to nominate a Knight of the month, submit a Knight of the Month Nomination form. |
Family of the Month for February: Joe and Penny Savona Family
Joe and Penny have been committed parishioners of Saint Mary Magdalen for over 40 years and have deep roots at SMM. They have been involved in many church activities, such as leading small groups, assisting in the first-aid booth at the Fall Festival, they have been Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, and more. Their expertise as medical doctors has shown to be a great blessing over the years. They have 3 children and several grandchildren that they devote a good bit of their time to these days. Their strong faith and devotion to God and family is an inspiration! We applaud them for their strong example they set for all families in our community! If you would like to nominate a Family of the Month, submit a Family of the Month Nomination form. Each family should stand out as an exemplary model to others in the parish. They should meet the following criteria:
