Knight of the Month for May: Jim Coppens

Jim has been an active Knight since he joined our council a couple of years ago. He has been laser focused on the leadership of the Veteran’s Family Communion group. His dedication and consistency with regard to this group is an impressive example for other leaders in our Council. He is an example of spiritual and moral support of veterans and their families, particularly with regard to the Mass and living a life of devotion. His commitment is a sign of the Holy Spirit and the gifts given to the faithful. We are blessed to have his presence in our Council.

If you would like to nominate a Knight of the month, submit a Knight of the Month Nomination form.

Family of the Month for May: Jason and Jen Froehlich Family

Jason and Jen Froehlich have been active members of SMM Parish for decades. All their three children, Jacob, John Paul, and Mary attended SMM School. Some of their contributions: Jason’s SMM Men’s Club membership, Troop 38 Scout Leader for several years, and small group participation. Jen has played critical roles with regard to leadership within SMM School and Church; including leadership in the School Auction (one of many examples). Their faith shines forth in the lives of their children that participated as altar servers, who continue actively with Catholic education at Bishop Moore High School. Their earnest and generous lives speak to Catholic Family Faith, lived out on a daily basis! We applaud them for their strong example they set for all families in our community!

If you would like to nominate a Family of the Month, submit a Family of the Month Nomination form.  Each family should stand out as an exemplary model to others in the parish. They should meet the following criteria:
  • Is the family tight knit? Does the family spend quality time together?
  • Does the family attend weekly Mass together? Does the family pray together outside of Mass?
  • Has the family made significant contributions to the parish and church community?
  • Does the family serve as a model of Catholic family values?
