Council Card Ministry
Beeler Gausz is our Council’s chairman of the Card Ministry. This is a ministry created by the late Ed Slimick, which consists of writing and sending out cards of hope, sympathy, or condolence in our Council’s name to Brothers and families who are in distress, such as when we lose a brother, or we want to cheer up a Brother or their loved one who might be homebound or who is in the hospital.
Beeler states “I send cards based on emails sent by Ed Fleri or Roger Copeland that indicate a Brother is in distress or has passed. I have not missed a single one, but I fear that more Brothers could use a card if somehow I knew of the situation. The cards are pre-printed K of C cards that are provided in two varieties: sympathy and get well. I always add a short personal, handwritten note and sign the card from ‘The Knights of Bishop Grady Council’. I use my return address so that I am alerted if it can't be delivered, but I never sign the card personally or show any indication of who sent it. That way the card will always be recognized as from all of us.”
If you would like Beeler to send out a card, please notify him by phone: 407.644.4343 (home) or 321-229-7547 (cell).
