Vocations Fundraiser Begins Week of September 18

Our Councils’ annual Vocations fundraiser will be held virtually again this year. The event is planned to start during the week of September 18 and run for four weeks, ending on Monday October 16. We plan to give $2,000 each to 3 Seminarians next year, so our fundraising goal is $6,000.
I need your help to donate items that can be raffled or offered in a silent auction. I will be asking people to donate to our fundraiser and your donated items will help us raise even more money for our seminarians. If you have a talent to create something or do something special for someone, you can turn that into a silent auction item. Here are some suggestions for items you can donate. If you can donate any of the following items or any other items, please notify me.
* If you have boat, offer a half day on the lake for fishing or boating.
* Cut grass or other yard work.
* Perform small house clean-up or repair projects, like installing a sink or toilet.
* Provide vacation or time share offers you are not going to use.
* Personally created artwork.
* Cook lunch or a dinner for x number of people.
People donating to Raffle items will donate to x number of raffle tickets offered at certain price per ticket - $5, $10, etc. For Silent Auction items, people submit a bid online, and their bid is entered on a webpage; the next person who wants to make a bid must exceed the previous bid amount; when the event ends, the person with the highest bid wins the item. If the prize donor is willing, the "losers" can also have it at the winning bid price.
Please send me an email as soon as you can and describe your donated item. Tell me if you want to offer it as a raffle item or a silent auction item. If you donate a raffle item, tell me the amount of each ticket. If you donate a silent auction item, describe it, specify the minimum bid and any limits to your item that need to be communicated. For example, if you will be offering to pressure wash someone’s driveway, the job will not exceed 2 hours or xxx number of square feet and the retail price is $120 and the minimum bid is $75.
If you have other suggestions for this year’s event, please contact me. My email is przybytw@cfl.rr.com and my phone is 407-460-8109.
100% of our donations will go towards helping 3 seminarians become priests.
