2023 Vocations Fundraiser
This year our Council’s Vocations fundraiser will once again be a virtual event. This fundraiser will conclude on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
The Council will be donating $2,000 to each of three Seminarians to help defray the cost of their seminary education, thus our fundraising goal is $6,000.
One of our 3 Seminarians, Edwin Matthew Rios, left the Seminary and the Orlando Diocese just asked us to support a new Seminarian, Peter Kay. He is starting seminary in St. Joseph's Seminary College in St. Benedict, Louisiana. Joshua Theisen is currently attending St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach Florida and Nicholas Couture is attending St. Charles Borromeo seminary in Philadelphia, PA, which is the same seminary that our beloved Monsignor Ed Thompson attended. Silent Auction Donations
This is a fun way to donate to Vocations! Submit a bid for silent auction items online for some great gift items donated for this event. The person with the winning bid on November 1 will make their donation for the item.
Instructions: Submit an online bid that exceeds the Last Bid Amount for that item by at least $10 and the Last Bid Amount on this page will update shortly after the bid is received. Each winning bid supports our Seminarians. Bids end on November 1, 2023. Winners will be announced on Thursday, November 2. After winners are notified, they can make their donation online or by check. New this year: If the prize donor is willing, the "losers" can also have the item at the winning bid price.
